  Which meeting was the worst?

  i absolutely detested the watchtower study.

  never did an hour go by so slow.

  there would the 20 or so paragraphs that had to read and answered, and i would watch the clock.

  The Watchtower and Tuesday night book study was by far the worse. How many times were we told that the Watchtower Study was the most important meeting out of the 5. :barf:

  But, the meeting I hated the most was the book study. Not only did we have to study the worse written books, but we were assigned the most BORING elder as a book study conductor. This guy was about 80 and very soft spoken and would drrrrrraaaagggggg the questions out so the meeting would last the whole hour (sometimes plus!!!!). What a pathetic way to spend a Tuesday night!!!

  I remember tuning in every week, as everyone else did in our congregation to watch "Get Christy Love". We were so proud that "our Sister" had her own TV show. Even though we didn't know Miss Graves personally, She was still one of Jehovah's People.

  Rest in Peace Sister Graves.

  Terrorism In the Chesapeake

  have you all heard about the murders going on in the md/dc/va area?

  an unknown person has been randomly shooting people going about their daily activities beginning this past wednesdayat 7:41 am, a man mowing his lawn, at 8:12 am, a taxi driver, at 8:37 am, a woman sitting on a public bench, at 9:58 am, a young woman vacuuming her car.

  there have been two more murders today.

  I live in MD as well. I was on the Beltway travelling in Montgomery County and Northern VA the day of the shootings. I saw the cops pull over all the white Izuzu vans matching the description. Funny, yesterday, I was travelling around the area and didn't see one white van matching the description on the road.

  I hope they catch these cowards. I know every area the shootings took place. It's scary that I get gas sometimes at the Mobil station where one of the shootings took place.

  Can't say Gosh, Golly or Gee because it was short for God and Jesus and that would be taking God's name in vain.

  So, watching "Leave it to Beaver" was out because the beaver (Ward, weren't you too hard on the beaver last night?) was always taking God's name in vain. (Golly gee Wally).

  But, JW's are always saing Jehovah this or Jehovah that. Even saying after a lovely supper that piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah. (Jehovah Jehovah Jehovah.) Makes no sense, but very little of what they say does anyway.

  with many children waiting expectedly for the new harry potter film the society have issued a pre-emptive strike.. i feel so sorry for the poor jw kids who won't now be able to go and see the film.. from watchtower, october 15th 2002, page 11..
